What Do I Hope To Get Out Of This Class?

I hope to gain more knowledge and experience on various ways to present impactful information through multimedia. Learning different ways to produce content in an interesting and creative way to the public is essential in today’s day and age. I say this because, majority of today’s population gathers their information from the internet which is sourced from different streams of media. It is more important now than ever to stand apart

from the crowd and think outside of the box to present content in a creative and effective way. Especially being in the Health Information Science (HINF) bachelor’s degree program at UVic, we have multiple presentations and deliverables where we are required to produce relevant information. However, in order to stand out in the class, it has to be done in an eye catching and unique way where the audience is intrigued, and their minds are stimulated. This is where I see this class benefiting me and furthering my knowledge in multiple mediums to effectively present information in my studies and future career. However, with all that said I am slightly apprehensive about learning how to use various medias in this class. Personally, sometimes I can take longer to really nail down a new concept or application. However, from past experience in other courses, I can succeed if I just practice and read or watch instructional videos to aid my learning process and eventually, I will have gained an adequate amount of knowledge to be efficient enough to produce quality content.
